It’s Official, Kobe Bryant Asks To Be Traded(R.I.P. Lakers?)
The story lines that have engulfed the Los Angeles Lakers in the last week hit a crescendo Wednesday when Kobe Bryant said he would welcome a trade.
Kobe: “I would like
to be traded.”Kobe Bryant tells Stephen A. Smith on 1050 ESPN Radio in New York that he wants to be traded from the Lakers — and that there’s nothing the Lakers can do to change his mind. Listen
“I would like to be traded, yeah,” Bryant said on 1050 ESPN Radio in New York. “Tough as it is to come to that conclusion there’s no other alternative, you know?”
Bryant, interviewed by Stephen A. Smith, was asked if there was anything the Lakers could do to change his mind.
“No,” Bryant said. “I just want them to do the right thing.”
Earlier in the day, Bryant said team owner Jerry Buss masterminded the trade of Shaquille O’Neal — and Shaq later confirmed Kobe’s account.
Lol I said before Kobe can’t stand losing and the Lakers look like they won win a playoff series anytime soon. Where in the hell would Kobe go, thats if they even trade him. Where are all the Laker fans saying he won’t go anywhere? Kobe seem tight, I don’t this can be resolved.

Im a die hard laker fan but after hearing how they handled the whole situation with shaq n how the had kobe take all the blame and had the public hate him for it i am disgusted with the organization. also its a shame they had to lie to kobe just to keep him on the team, today is a sad day for all laker adn kobe fans everywhere, but kobe is my favorite player of all time and after hearing the LA radio interview last night, i could hear it in his voice that he felt betrayed by the lakers and that he was really hurt that the organization that he loves so much would do this to him. Kobe works out everyday of the summer just to be ready to go the next season and be that much better!

Kobe is a sucka. Dude had a chance to leave a couple years ago. He should have went to the Clippers because their squad is up and coming and has some nice talent there already. He could have made them a real threat.

First off, those who ain’t Laker fans or don’t know about or read the daily insider going-ons.. should stay in their place and view it from afar..
It’s like this..
Kobe wants to stay a Laker. He’s fed up though with not getting a real supporting cast. He wants to compete for rings and he does his part day in and day out, but to no avail. Now, who do you blame when you have no supportingcast? The GM.. he makes all the moves, he builds the team which takes the floor.
Mitch Kupchak has got to be one of the most inept GMs in the league. He got raped in the Shaq trade.. and in the Caron Butler for Kwame Brown trade too. He does not have what it takes to get a big deal done. He’s missed out on a number of key players who wanted to come here but couldnot get it done: Baron Davis, Ron Artest, Carlos Boozer, Jason Kidd, Jermaine Oneal.
Any one of those cats would ghave the Lakers competing for rings. Maybe not win them outright, but they’d compete.
Now, how do you fix all that..?
You bring back Jerry West, The Logo, Mr. Laker himself.
Kobe respects West more than anyone in basketball. West loves Kobe and has always kept it real with him. He tells it like it is and Kobe appreciates that. He also makes big things happen. He’s got the charisma needed to close biog deals.
One last thing, Jim Buss.. The son of owner Jerry Buss is now taking over basketball operations and is fucking shit up. He hated Phil Jackson, he dislikes Kobe, he wants to throw it all away and build around unproven (though loved) Andrew Bynum.
They promised Kobe they’d build a contender around him, but Mitch Kupchak anin’t built jack.
Now that they have some players to trade the son wants to wait some more for young Bynum to develop. That’s his pet project..
Kobe’s had enough.
So:
1. Brinf back Jerry West
2. Jerry Buss needs to take back control
3. Kobe is yelling bloody murder because that’s the only way he’ll get Jerry West back.
No biggie. As a Laker fan, this is what I’ve been asking for..

its gonna be too hard to trade kobe. that nigga signed a 140 million dollar contract, the biggest in nba history. so whatever team he goes to, theyll have to gut their roster to be able to pay kobe, just like wit the shaq trade. u remember how the heat had to trade their whole fuckin squad to get shaq and make the trade equal salary-wise. it would be like that except worse. so whatever team he went to would probably suck again cuz it would be just kobe. to the wizards? yeah for gilbert and caron. to the suns? yeah for amare and shawn marion. u see what im sayin? it would just end up puttin kobe in a bad situation again. he’s a laker for life, most likely. if he does get traded, he’s coming to the east, like #17 said. he would put up 60 on the lakers every time
