she is doing what she fells is right. We can say that she needs to make another album or that is she crazy for leaving the music business when she was on top. If she does come out with another album I hope that it’s her best stuff.

well she stands for something, I think its along the lines of owning your own life and not making the corporations that be and life controll you like a puppet.

We all are puppets of society and if you work for a company your even a bigger punk puppet because they run your life or you dont get paid, so take heed to miss hill her message is powerful.

What-the fuck-ever…This coming from a woman who wants to be referred as “Ms Lauren Hill” to her minions. And has been accused of other diva like attitude. I’m so sure sitting on her ass for close to 10 years is a more effective message than using music to reach the people…Getthefuckouttahere

That one album nearly 10 years ago has more substance and value than most artist’ whole career. People are mad at her cuz she simply refused to let corporations and media “buy her out”. I commend Ms. Hill for remaining strong. I guess like most of the world, people think everything and everybody has a price, but some things arent for sale..including ones soul.

QuadakiDD wrote on July 4th, 2007 at 7:34 am

….But then again most of you wouldn’t understand that cuz this iz America right. Sale your soul in exchange for fame. Cowards In Power.

She sounds like she’s definently been through some things.. Im still holding out hope that she’ll drop something hot and get back to winning grammys and be the Lauryn we knew BEFORE Beyonce was even a thought in the game…..

Rainman sounds just like “Rain Man.” The shut up and sing mentality is a reflection of George Bush’s America. However, a number of great artists have consistently made political statements when sharing their music in different ways. This is nothing new. What is new is the predominance of voices like rainman’s which speak out against such artists and subsequently end up supporting the very industries that Lauryn is speaking against.
